Rush Limbaugh on God

Glorify isn’t a word I come across often in the worldly world.

Now that I think about it, the word glorify is used in a sarcastic way, as in, “Oh, he’s just a glorified clerk,” when referring to an assistant manager.

So, when one of my Journey w/ Jesus table mates, said something about, “Glorifying God,” I asked, “What’s a synonym for glorify?”

What words would you suggest? Think about it before reading on.

(Pause. Think.)

I looked up glorify and glory  in a dictionary, and then came up with my substitute phrase:

Give credit to God. God made whatever I did possible. I didn’t.

Therefore, when Rush Limbaugh says he’s able to do his radio show, “With talent on loan from God!” He’s praising, thanking, giving credit to, glorifying God.
