Accepting the fact that my “hobbies” are more than a pastime, has shifted how I feel about spending time on my art and writing. Talk about a game changer!

How open are you to the idea that when you give in to the urge to create, you could be taking a step toward pleasing God?

We create because we are created in the image of the CREATOR by the CREATOR. Creating is one way we get to show Who God is.

Fill in the blanks, to reveal some of your beliefs about the importance of your creativity.

By creating, I _____________________, except ______________________.

By creating, I _____________________, so __________________________.

By creating, I _____________________,because ______________________.

By creating, I_____________________, therefore ______________________.

By creating, I_____________________, but __________________________.

By creating, I_____________________, and then ______________________.

By creating, I_____________________, and __________________________.

“Your art, your creative expression, is not just some hobby or mindless activity. Neither is it a waste of time that will not produce anything real. It is, in fact, a window to the heart of God, designed for Him to flow His presence through in order to touch the lives of his people and change the earth.” from Unlocking the Heart of the Artist

About beth

I started this blog in 2011 shortly after I finally opened my heart and mind to Jesus as a last resort. My intent with this blog is to share what I learn and feel along my path with Jesus.
